Turkish food in Enfield: where to eat, by neighbourhood

EN3 has twenty-two Turkish restaurants in our count along Hertford Road and the streets off it: grills, kebab houses, pide bakeries and Turkish supermarkets serving the borough's largest Turkish and Kurdish neighbourhoods. EN1 and N14 have the borough's more polished Turkish restaurants: sit-down grills and meze rooms near Enfield Town station and along Chase Side in Southgate, with weekend breakfast. This is where the demand data points: families in the western suburbs search for Turkish food and have fewer options than the east.

With bakeries, butchers and grills this dense, a plain kebab shop is a hard sell and the trade is price-sensitive. The openings are formats the corridors lack: sit-down breakfast, family dining in Winchmore Hill and Oakwood, and a proper künefe and dessert house.
