This guide walks Sheffield by neighbourhood: City centre and West Street; London Road and Sharrow; Ecclesall Road and Broomhill; The gaps. Counts, hygiene shares and postcode clusters come from our directory; the map below is seeded on the city centre, and each neighbourhood links to the restaurants we list there.
City centre and West Street
The centre has grills and doner counters along West Street and Division Street serving the nightlife, plus a couple of sit-down meze restaurants. Late-night trade is strong.
London Road and Sharrow
S2 and the London Road corridor are Sheffield's most international food street and hold several Turkish grills and takeaways among the Kurdish and Middle Eastern restaurants. Good value and authentic.
Ecclesall Road and Broomhill
S10 and S11 have the student and affluent-west restaurants: a grill or two on Ecclesall Road, cafés in Broomhill. These are the places for a family Sunday lunch.
The gaps
Hillsborough and the north, and the outer suburbs toward Dore and Totley, have little. Sheffield is not saturated anywhere, and hygiene scores here are among the best of the big cities.
