Turkish food in Westminster: where to eat, by neighbourhood
Westminster is the busiest Turkish dining market in the country by review volume, and almost none of it is neighbourhood trade. The restaurants serve tourists, office workers and the Edgware Road food economy, and they charge accordingly.

This guide walks Westminster by neighbourhood: Edgware Road and Paddington; Fitzrovia and Soho; Pimlico and Victoria; What to know. Counts, hygiene shares and postcode clusters come from our directory; the map below is seeded on the city centre, and each neighbourhood links to the restaurants we list there.
Edgware Road and Paddington
W2 around Edgware Road has the largest group: Turkish grills and meze restaurants sitting among the Lebanese and Gulf restaurants that define the street, open late and busy with visitors. Quality is mixed and prices are high for what they are; the best have queues.
Fitzrovia and Soho
W1T and W1D have the more ambitious Turkish restaurants: modern Anatolian kitchens, Ottoman-style menus with hünkar beğendi and lamb tandır, and meze bars with serious wine lists. This is Turkish food at London restaurant prices and, at its best, the most refined in the country.
Pimlico and Victoria
SW1V has a small cluster of neighbourhood Turkish restaurants serving Pimlico residents and Victoria's commuters, quieter and better value than the West End.
What to know
Fewer than half the rated Turkish restaurants in Westminster hold a hygiene 5, a lower share than North London despite the prices. Book for the Fitzrovia places; walk in on Edgware Road. For a neighbourhood ocakbaşı, take the Victoria line north.
