Sumak
Sumac: a tart, deep red ground berry sprinkled on onions, salads and grilled meat.
Sumac onions, thin-sliced onion tossed with sumac and parsley, come with every kebab. It tastes lemony and sharp and is the reason the onion tastes better in a Turkish restaurant.
